报告内容简介: In the context of advanced manufacturing, industrial automation has evolved from mechanization and electrification to digitalization, continuously improving production efficiency and flexibility. However, achieving highly intelligent manufacturing systems still faces key challenges such as real-time responsiveness, reliability, system integration, and data security. Large language models, demonstrate transformative potential in the manufacturing domain. Nevertheless, such models have limitations in industrial deployment, including high inference latency, data constraints, and difficulty in explaining their decision processes. The introduction of edge AI offers solutions to these issues. Through cloud–edge collaboration, deploying intelligent algorithms at the edge ensures millisecond-level real-time responsiveness, enhanced system reliability, and better integration of heterogeneous systems. 报告人简介: Dr. Kan Yu is the Victoria Regional Coordination Leader of the Cisco-La Trobe Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things Center. He worked at Huawei Beijing Research Institute in 2006 and Huawei Australia's Sydney branch in 2016 respectively. From 2010 to 2015, he served as a researcher at the Global Research and Development Center of ABB, a Swedish company ranked among the Fortune Global 500. He is not only a guest editor of top academic journals such as IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, but also has organized and presided over several international academic conferences. He has won the research fund award from the Hans Wårthen Foundation of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA), and has received research funds from the Ericsson Research Foundation in Sweden several times. |
